Here is a video I put together to demo how to use GridPilot to run computations on a GridFactory cluster:
The demo uses the default input files – which are 12 royalty free music files found on incompetech.com. This can be changed – by right-clicking on the input dataset, “music_files”, and choosing “Import file(s)”. If you’ve already imported the default files, just select the dataset and click “Clean” first.
Notice that there’s nothing preventing you from setting up your own GridFactory cluster with 400 instead of the 4 worker nodes of the demo – and converting 1200 files instead. In fact, if you don’t have this amount of hardware standing around, you can set up such a cluster with a few mouse clicks on Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) as done in some other examples.
